Making a cursive handwriting worksheet using the same format as
our other writing styles is difficult to accomplish. This occurs since most cursive
letters are connected to each other, however, when using cursive, the beginning strokes of a letter follow different
paths depending on the letter that precedes it. For example - the
letter "y" in "boy" has a different beginning path than the "y" in "buy."Â
In one case, the "y" begins from the top and in the other the beginning "y"
stroke comes from the bottom of the "u."Â Some computer handwriting
font designers attempt to overcome this problem by compromising the strokes. |
When the cursive section is completed, you will have two options for each
size of cursive letters. In our "separated" option, the cursive
letters are not connected, but rather, separated by a small space. The
student can then look at the letters for cues on proper form, but has to
choose how they will be connected. In our "continuous" cursive option,
the letters will be connected as seen in our title above. You will
then see a little larger dip in between some letters, but the effect should
be negligible. Someday, after some intensive programming we may be
able to correct this slight (but unavoidable) cursive anomaly. |
